Kidz Konnekt Consent Information
This information applies to Kidz Konnekt youth club activities, Outdoor Education and Adventure activities, School Holiday Programmes, Wraparound Childcare, organised events, including all regular sessions, residentials, 1-2-1 support meetings, trips and other extracurricular activities.
In order to participate in our events, consent must be established. By completing the online consent process, you are confirming that this information has been read, understood and agreed to.
Participation in Activities
Kidz Konnekt activities may include arts and crafts, sports and games, computers, outdoor play, cooking, dance, drama and other organised activities.
If there are any activities that a child or young person must not take part in, this should be made known to a member of staff before attending a session or event.
Hazardous Activities
Some Kidz Konnekt and Konnekt Outdoors activities are classified as hazardous activities due to their physical nature and the inherent risks involved.
Hazardous activities may include, but are not limited to:
Rock Climbing
Archery
Bush Craft and fire-lighting activities
Adventure Park and assault course activities
Other similar outdoor and adventurous activities
All hazardous activities are led by suitably experienced, qualified or accredited instructors who maintain high safety standards throughout each session.
While every reasonable precaution is taken to minimise risk, participation in these activities involves inherent risks and injuries may still occur. These risks may include, but are not limited to:
Falls from height
Slips, trips and falls
Burns associated with fire-lighting or outdoor activities
Other injuries arising from participation in physically demanding activities
By completing the online consent process, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with participation in hazardous activities and give permission for the participant to take part in such activities where appropriate.
If you have any concerns about a specific activity or do not wish the participant to take part in a particular hazardous activity, you should notify a member of staff before attendance.
Medical Consent
Where necessary, Kidz Konnekt may need to act in the best interests of a child or young person in relation to medical or emergency treatment.
By completing the online consent process, you confirm that relevant medical, dietary, allergy, cultural, lifestyle or support information has been provided electronically and is accurate at the time of submission.
Risk Assessments and Policies
Risk assessment information, policies and procedures are available from Kidz Konnekt on request.
Arrival and Departure
Kidz Konnekt staff are responsible for children and young people during the activity session only.
Kidz Konnekt staff do not have responsibility for a child or young person before arrival or after departure from an activity session.
Arrangements for collection, authorised adults or permission to leave unaccompanied should be provided through the electronic consent process.
Photography and Video
Photographs or video may occasionally be taken for promotional or publicity purposes.
If you do not want your child to be photographed or videoed, you must inform a member of staff.

By completing the online consent process, you confirm that:

All required personal, emergency contact, medical and support information has been provided electronically.
You will inform Kidz Konnekt of any changes to the information provided.
